Wines Family Cellars specializes in offering their guests great wines in a relaxed rural atmosphere amongst family and friends. The winery is known for their red wine selection which is commonly referred to as their "Big Reds." Wines offers a large variety of red, white and dessert wines that can be tasted in their tasting room seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is six tastes for $10.

Founder Doug Wiens moved his Sacramento winery operation south to Temecula in 2003. The current location and facilities were built in 2005. Doug studied Agriculture and Agribusiness at Cal Poly and Horticulture at Colorado State University. He has over 20 years experience in the food and beverage industry.
